In 1985 the Lynx effect was born in the UK, which quickly became an essential part of a guys grooming routine. Lynx has always been about building confidence and preparing men for success, creating sophisticated fragranced products, designed for the modern man.
It has been a while since I have used Lynx, in my mind I associated it with fond memories as a teenager, using the different bodyspray fragrances, but hadn’t thought the range would suit me as an adult. Lynx have recently introduced the Black Range, which offers a bespoke, subtle yet sophisticated masculine scent which allows your unique style to shine through. I was surprised to find, when I tried the Lynx Black range, that I really enjoyed the masculine fragrance, which is much more refined than when I used it the first time around as a teenager.
The Black Reboot Shampoo gives the hair a thorough cleanse, it is efficient in removing whichever products I have applied with ease. I would personally use this shampoo once a week to remove the build up from the weeks styling.
There are two deodorants in the Lynx Black Collection, one works as a Body Spray and the other as Antiperspirant. I have put these to the test over the last couple of weeks and I must say they worked really well, the scent is understated but lasts all day, so I can be confident i’m always smelling fresh.
The fragrance of Lynx Black Collection was created by Ann Gottlieb, who created the CK One fragrance and contains base notes of Watermelon Ester, Bergamot and Frozen Pear then evolving with notes of fresh fruits and a blend of Moss, Cedarwood and Patchouli. I really like the fact that these sprays have been compressed so it can be carried around easily, also these have a twist cap rather than a removable lid which is an ingenious packaging design meaning there are no lids that could be lost is a big bonus.
If you are interested in purchasing this range, it can be found in your local supermarket or stores such as Boots or Superdrug. The Lynx Black Body Sprays retail at £3.29 for 150ml and Lynx Black Reboot Shampoo for £2.00 for 300 ml. More savings can be made as Asda currently have the shampoo on for 3 for £5, Boots have the deodorants at 2 for £4 and there are some seasonal gift sets also available from both.
