Rituals was founded in 2000 by Raymond Cloosterman, he passionately believes that if you transform your daily routine and fill it with more meaningful moments, then happiness can found in the smallest of things. This philosophy led to a unique concept of combining home and body cosmetics, thus Rituals was born.
Each of the Rituals collections are based on Eastern traditions, with its own specifically selected ingredients, combined with the latest innovative technologies and distinctive benefits
For the last couple of weeks I have been using the Samurai Collection which is the main male collection from Rituals. I was drawn to this collection after learning about the Japanese warriors and how they took great pride and attention to detail in their appearance.
- Samurai Foaming Shower Gel Sensation £8.50 – The packaging design and product delivery is a unique concept as I’ve never used a body cleansing product that has been packaged in what you would typically expect a shave gel to be in, which does make it appealing to guys. The shower gel is very concentrated and has a viscous texture which upon contact with water, the gel turns into a soft cleansing foam to massage over my body and inhale the fresh notes of organic Bamboo and Cedar Wood. After cleansing my skin felt clean, refreshed, hydrated and soft to the touch, with the delicate cedar wood aroma to fragrance my skin.
- Samurai Refreshing After Shave Gel £19.50 – I adore the packaging of this product from the chunky navy glass bottle to the wooden cap, just personifies quality. Soon as you unscrew the lid you are greeted by the fresh, manly aroma combination of Basil and Tiger Grass. It has a fine gel texture which instantly absorbs into the skin on contact, providing instant hydration with zero shine. The addition of Aloe Vera helps to cool and calm the skin, reducing any redness on the skin. I think Rituals have been very clever with this After Shave Gel the ingredients are of such a high quality and because of the texture no guy could ever say this was a chore to use.
- Samurai Cool Deo Stick £9.50 – which again has the fresh fragrance combination of the Organic Bamboo and Cedar Wood. Once applied to the under arm area my skin felt cool, refreshed and scented. I put this to the test when I went to the gym and after a long day working and found I still smelt as fresh as I did when I first applied this deodorant. I am very impressed as many deodorants make claims that they cant fulfil but Rituals have truly delivered.
Overall I am very impressed with the Rituals brand and the Samurai collection, I can see this being a popular gift for guys who will love this ritual experience.
I would love to try more from the Rituals range, as I am totally addicted now.
Also make sure you tune into QVCUK on the 23rd October at 9pm for the launch of the Rituals Christmas Collections.
