Red Anchor – Male Grooming Review

Hey Guys

Red Anchor are a British company who have created a male grooming range which is blended with the finest natural oils and extracts, to treat and protect the skin whilst bringing a touch of class to any bathroom.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been using the Red Anchor Tea Tree and Peppermint Shave Oil, Post Shave Balm and Sandalwood Moustache Wax.  Each of these products have a potent aromatic aroma, which are a treat to the senses soon as you open the bottle.

When it comes to shaving I have rarely used a shave oil, not due to any bad experiences I just think sometimes we can become creatures of habit and I tend to usually use a cream or gel formula, plus a shave oil is usually a more expensive option which is only natural due to the refined potency of the product.

The Red Anchor Shave Oil is 100% natural and is packed with essential oils of Black Seed, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sunflower, Tea Tree and Olive Oil.  Combined with DEFENSIL®-PLUS technology which is designed to actively replenish the skins natural barriers and soothe razor burn.

You only need to squeeze a small amount into the palm of your hand then apply to where you wish to shave, as this oil is very concentrated.  First of all the fresh uplifting aroma is amazing, so refreshing and cooling on the skin, I found I had a much closer shave, there was no missed hairs and my skin felt hydrated soft and incredibly smooth.

This Shave Oil is available in a 50ml size and retails at £14.50 direct from Red Anchor’s website.

I then applied the Red Anchor Post Shave Balm, to provide hydration and repair to the skin after shaving.  This balm is packed with cooling and soothing ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Arnica and Lavender, all of which do a fantastic job to restore the skins strength and vitality.  Lavender is one of my favourite natural aromas and is a fantastic ingredient to calm the skin.

The texture of this balm is a light cream-gel consistency which instantly absorbs into the skin, providing a layer of moisture without any greasy residue like you can get with some balms that just sit on the skin.

This Post Shave Balm is available in a 50ml size and retails at £12.50 direct from Red Anchor’s website.

To complete this trio of products we have the Sandalwood Moustache Wax, I waited a little while to try this product only because I went through a stage of being completed shaved, but as the seasons are moving on I do like to have a bit of growth on my face.  I have never used a specific moustache product before so I was intrigued to see if it made any difference.

This wax is made from White Beeswax, Argan Oil, Rosehip Oil, Shea Butter, Jojoba and Sandalwood Oil.  This combination of ingredients give the moustache hair much needed hydration and allowed me to have a softer, better looking and groomed moustache.   Throughout the day I could smell hints of the Sandalwood aroma.

This Moustache Wax is available in a 20ml size and retails at £10.00 direct from Red Anchor’s website.

Overall I have been thoroughly impressed by this range, the high quality natural ingredients, which are cold pressed on site during manufacture in the heart of England, the effectiveness of shave, hydration and overall grooming has made this range a true pleasure to use.  Not forgetting the value for money as you need such a little amount of these products and at a price point that will be kind to your wallet, I would recommend to give this range a try.
