Philip Kingsley is the worlds most respected authority on hair and scalp health. Phillip’s passion for hair started when he was working in his uncles hairdressing salon when he was just 16. In 1953 Philip qualified as a trichologist and by 1968 he opened his flagship clinic on Green Street in the heart of Mayfair and then New York in 1977.
Due to his popularity in 1997, Philip was asked to create a retail range of salon products so that everyone would be able to benefit from his expert clinic formulations in their own home. Philips range is now and internationally renowned and distributed brand, which can be found in prestigious department stores around the world.
Over the last couple of weeks I have been using the Flaky Itchy Scalp from the Philip Kingsley range. The reason I wanted to try this Shampoo is from time to time I find that my scalp does become itchy and flaky, particularly when I have been using lots of styling products and in moments of stress or fatigue. Our bodies deal with these kind of things in their own unique way and this is how it can affect me.
The Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo has also won many awards and in consumer trials 99% of people said that the Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo cleared their scalp and 92% said they found this shampoo to be more effective than other products they had tried to relieve their flaky itchy scalp.
First of all it is important when using any shampoo to make sure your hair is wet all over your head as this gives the shampoo a greater ability to work more effectively and cover the entire scalp and hair.
The texture of this shampoo is a viscous clear gel which for my length of hair I would use around the size of a 50p coin and it has a light clean fresh scent. I massaged the shampoo into my fingertips then applied all over my hair and scalp, making sure to really massage into the scalp for treatment and a deep cleanse. I then left the shampoo on my hair while I cleansed the rest of my body and face, as I thought the longer it stays on the scalp the more benefits it will surely have, I then rinsed and towel dried.
The first thing I noticed is my hair was clean, shiny and had more volume, which isn’t something you usually find with these types of products and when styling I found my hair to be a lot more manageable.
After a couple of days using this shampoo, I noticed that my scalp had not been itchy or dry and there was no white flaky debris on my clothes. I was very impressed as I didn’t expect this shampoo to work so quickly to solve this problem.
I have now been using this shampoo for three weeks, where there has been times of stress or fatigue which normally would make my scalp more of a problem, but this shampoo has worked wonders, zero itchy and zero flaking. I am certainly going to continue to use this Flaky Itchy Shampoo and will be investing in a larger size so I never run out.
You can purchase this Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo direct from the Philip Kingsley website from as little as £9.50 for a 75ml size up to 1 litre for £52.00. If the 250ml size that I have been using is anything to go by then I could see the litre size lasting me between 10 / 12 months, you cant go wrong with that value for money.
