I am a big fan of candles, I find that they help me to relax and gives me the chance to take some me time. I am also a massive fan of Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish so for some time now I have been wanting to try the candle that was inspired by this iconic cleanser, as I have always enjoyed the aroma of this product when cleansing face.
First of all this candle is beautifully packaged in the signature Liz Earle Turquoise colour, which continues as the colouring of the high end cut glass candle jar, which has a nice weight to it wont be knocked or blow over easily.
The candle is made from 100% natural blend of Soy and Beeswax, so you can burn this candle safe in the knowledge that no nasty chemicals are being released into the air.
When I first lit this candle the first note of fragrance I could smell is the Rosemary essential oil which has a fresh pine undertone, there has been studies that Rosemary can help with your memory, which is a good additional benefit for me. The Eucalyptus essential oil notes then came through, I have been a massive fan of this aroma for many years, I always use products with this essential oil in over the winter period has I find it helps me to breath easier and helps with any congestion. After a little while of burning the aroma changed to more woody and musky tones, which help me to feel calm and comforted, it shows the quality of this candle as so many just have one note, but this evolves as you burn it.
Overall this candle has a wonderful fresh, woody aroma that helps me to relax, I would certainly recommend anyone to give this a try who needs to take some me time and relax with this candle.
This Eucalyptus & Rosemary candle comes in a 220g size and I would imagine you could get around 50-60 hours of burn time, remember when burning candles to get the most out of them to trim the wick and try not to place it in a draft area.
There is also currently an offer direct from Liz Earle where if you purchase the cleanse, tone and skin repair essentials for £45 you can receive a complimentary Eucalyptus & Rosemary candle, the RRP for this collection would be £105 when bought individually. If you prefer the Superskin moisturiser you can still take advantage of this deal but the price would £64 for this option.
Liz Earle have recently introduced more scents to their candle range such as Damask Rose & Pink Pepper, Lavender & Basil and Rosemary & Rock Rose. I certainly plan on trying more of these candles and I think my next will be the Lavender & Basil, as Lavender is great to relax the body and mind.
