Tarte Cosmetics was founded in 1999 by Maureen Kelly, who wanted to use pure, powerful cosmetics without any of the unhealthy ingredients such as parabens, mineral oils and synthetic fragrances on her skin. From Tarte’s humble beginnings in Maureen’s one bedroom apartment, with a mission to prove that glamour can be good for you, creating pioneering high-performance natural cosmetics that real people can use on a daily basis, that are infused with ingredients like super fruit and plant extracts, vitamins, minerals and essential oils.
Through hard work and determination, Tarte has become a cult beauty brand. In 2005 Tarte launched on QVC America and was an instant hit and its popularity has continued to grow. In the UK Tarte is available exclusively through QVCUK where the Tartelette secret has been shared across the pond.
For the Holidays, Tarte have created a limited edition of their Maracuja Oil, which comes with a pewter & gold encrusted cap, which looks as though it has been carved from stone, which is encased in shimmering gold gift box. What’s great is you can use this topper on any of your other maracuja oil bottles in the future, which is what I will be doing for sure. This is my first time using the Tarte skincare range, I have previously reviewed their makeup collection HERE.
There are many facial oils available, but i’ve never experienced one which contains Maracuja Oil, so of course I wanted to see what this could do for my skin. This earth-prescribed treatment oil is cold pressed from Passion Fruit, that grows on the riverbanks of the Amazon and is 100% pure, with no Parabens, Mineral Oils, SLS or Gluten. Passion fruit contains a high amount of Vitamin C, which is fantastic antioxidant to brighten and tighten the skin’s appearance and it takes 46 of these precious passion fruits to make every single bottle.
I have been using this Tarte facial oil for the past couple of weeks, using two or three drops on my skin at night, using the dropper delivery system, which gives you full control to use the precise amount on your skin. It feels beautiful and sinks straight in to start transforming your skin.
When I looked in the mirror the first day after using this oil, I was surprised to see that my skin texture was much more refined and brightened, whilst increasing the hydration levels in the skin. These benefits have increased greatly over the days and weeks using this Tarte Maracuja Oil.
It is important especially during the winter months to keep your skin hydrated and would certainly recommend using this Tarte Maracuja Oil, to transform your skin.
The lovely Leigh will be on QVCUK on the 18th Decemeber at 6pm & 9pm and 19th December at 1pm.
