Philip Kingsley is the world’s most respected authority on hair and scalp health. Phillip’s passion for hair started when he was working in his uncle’s hairdressing salon when he was just 16. In 1953 Philip qualified as a trichologist and by 1968 he opened his flagship clinic on Green Street in the heart of Mayfair and then New York in 1977.
Most of use a heat to style our hair whether that be a hair dryer, straighteners or other hair tools, whilst these are essential to achieve the styles we desire it also puts our hair under strain, which can be on a daily basis. I personally always use a hairdryer to give a more voluminous look and I started to notice that the texture of the hair was becoming a little dry and lacked shine, so I wanted to try something that could protect the hair and keep it looking healthy. I must say I didn’t have much faith that I would find a solution, as I have tried previous products before which just seem to weigh the hair down or feel sticky and tacky which at the end of the day you want your hair to feel like real hair.
I decided to try the Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence Conditioning Spray, as I have tried other products from this range and always been impressed by the results.
I have been using this spray after washing my hair, using three sprays to make sure all of my hair has an even coating of the product and then carried on as normal to use a hair dryer to style my hair. The “DDD” spray is a fine mist that instantly absorbs into the hair almost like u haven’t applied anything.
After the first use the main difference I noticed was my hair was a lot easier to style and didn’t look as dried out as it normally can do after using a hair dryer. As the week went on the texture of my hair began to change, it became softer, with more hydration, bounce and shine to it. I was very surprised as I say I was a little skeptical that this or any similar product could make any real difference. I will always use the Daily Damage Defence spray before styling my hair as it really has made a big difference and would recommend it as an essential step to look after the hair, it has kept my hair style lasting for longer without needing touch ups during the day.
You can purchase the Daily Damage Defence from the Philip Kingsley website in a 250ml size for £22 which offers great value as I can see this lasting me many months of daily use. You can also find Philips products, including this one on QVCUK where there are great value collections if you would like to try more of the range.
