Little Ondine – Lava Nail Polish Review

Little Ondine were founded in 2014 and developed by three gentlemen with a vision to reimagine the nail industry, inspiration came from organic wall paint and with four years in development, they created a unique nail polish made from natural resin, water and high quality minerals from around the globe to deliver a pure and organic colour, in wonderful on trend colours with no toxic or chemical ingredients.

In 2015 they were one of the joint winners of the QVCUK Best New Beauty Brand Competition and it’s easy to see why, with their unique range of nail colours that are odourless, so that you can practically paint your nails anywhere, which you can easily peel off without the need for any chemical removers, making it kind on the nails and allow you to change up your mani look whenever you like.

I have been using the “Lava” shade which is one of Little Ondine’s best selling colours.  Which is a bold, rich crimson red shade that perfectly matches the name, as you can imagine the molten hot magma liquid pouring down the side of a Volcano of the coast of Hawaii.  It also reminds me of my favourite shade of roses which was grown in my garden as a child.

I found the nail polish very easy to apply and has a opulent viscosity which covers the nail in very few strokes, I always like to apply two coats to achieve the true shade depth.  To achieve a long lasting manicure make sure the nail plate is clean and dry, once applying the nail polish be sure to tidy up the edge of the nail while wet and keep the nail area dry within the first hour, try and avoid activities like washing up or showering within the first three hours as this could cause the polish to peel off, other than those tips I have found this polish to last a good five days without any signs of wear.  With its easy to remove formula you may want to change up your nail colours more often and there are plenty shades to choose from on the Little Ondine website ranging from as little as £8.40 for a full size shade.

There is also some specifically created collection’s on QVCUK to celebrate their Best New Beauty Brand win, below is one collection which has caught my eye.
