#AllAboutSPF | Alpha H

#AllAboutSPF | Alpha H

Taking good care of my skin has been a passion of mine for the last 20 years, I learned early on that it is key to use a quality SPF cream, as the sun’s rays have the biggest effect on ageing the skin and can cause harm in more health damaging ways.  Whether that be UVB damage causing the skin to burn, peel and blister or UVA damage attacking the collagen fibres deep in the epidermis making us age quicker.  The shocking statistic is UVA damage doesn’t show on the skin straight away, it can take upto 10 years to show the damage you have caused, which is a scary thought.  I know that sounds a bit heavy but I want you all to take this information seriously.

Alpha H have recently launch their #allaboutSPF campaign to raise awareness around skin cancer and sun-induced aging.  In the Summer heat there are constant reminders in the press or advertisements offering us the best deals to use sun protection, so that we can stay out longer in the sun without burning.  But using SPF should be an all year round ritual that we all should practice, as even on cloudy days UV rays can still penetrate the skin and cause a cumulative sun damaging and skin ageing effect.  I know it may not be the most glamourous product to buy when you see exciting big campaigns for the latest anti-ageing or skin radiance products, but I want you to think about one thing, do you want your skin to look as good as it does now in 5 years time? If you answer is yes then you need to be using sun protection on a daily basis.

“I recently started using the Alpha H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF 50+ as my daily sun protection factor.  This lightweight high protection cream, provides the skin with hydration and rich in the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin E and Aloe Vera to combat premature ageing whilst actively protecting you from UV rays.  It leaves the skin with a velvety finish, that isn’t heavy or greasy which is perfect for a male skin and i’ve found it works great as a mattifying primer.”

TIP:  If you’re not using a daily SPF then I would suggest trying this moisturiser as it provides protection which is easy and simple to use.

Alpha-H are spreading a Sharing is Caring message with the #allaboutSPF campaign, as it is a shared responsibility to keep friends and family safe.  I am always asking friends and family if they have applied their SPF today, but its only because I care.  You can purchase this Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF50+ direct from the Alpha H website, QVCUK or Look Fantastic in a 50ml size for £29.

Alpha H are currently celebrating their 11th Anniversary of being on QVCUK which means products shown on air have 11p P&P charge, making it a perfect time to stock up or try for the first time.  Find out more information and offers from the brand at these following times.

Nice post! everyone wants flawless healthy skin and at the same time wants some color on their skin(tanning from the sun)… Too bad the sun is damaging to our skin! I have been using SPF lotion for a while now, it’s just too dangerous not to when you’re out in the rays!

Nice review, I have never heard of this Alpha cream before. At the moment I am using a tan maintaining moisturizing cream that I got from Boots. 🙂

I don’t use daily SPF, but I know I should! Especially living in Florida. I’m going to look into this more. Thanks for sharing!

As I travel often to places where the sun is very tough, I think I should really start to pay attention to my skin. Thanks for the advice 🙂

What did you use as your background for your flatlay? I love it, it is gorgeous and I need to start taking more care of my skin. That means wearing SPF and having a proper routine. Great post.

I am so paranoid in the sun. I always use suncream and wear a hat and most of the time I stick to the shade. I have a great respect for the sun and I know what it can do.

Protect from the outside, and nourish from the inside! Don’t forget to take your Vit-D, even if your skin is light if you are using a strong sunblock.

I haven’t tried this particular moisturizer, but I’m a big fan of taking care of my skin as well. I currently live in the desert so dealing with dry conditions is a way of life here.

It’s important to keep up with our daily routine to take care of our skin, and using skin protection, like suncream. Great review!

Yes, I agree, you need to wear sunscreen everyday. Most people dont think they need it unless it is sunny or they are going to be out in the sun for a long time!

Never tried it. It’s important to protect your skin but I loveee being tanned haha. I always put some kind of a protection tho because I know it’s dangerous. Thank you for sharing, I might try this. 🙂
