Hello Beauties, I hope you are all having a lovely week so far. As most of you may know it’s my birthday tomorrow, which I am excited about as it’s looking like it will be a fantastic day. Over the past thirty days I have been trialling some new beauty products in the run up to tomorrow, some of which I have already reviewed and some are yet to come, so stay tuned.
One of the products I have been trialling and will be applying again later tonight is the Sleep Mask Tan Face from James Read. I wanted to try this overnight tan, as unlike most tanning products this contains a multitude of additional skincare ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera and Algae extracts designed to deeply hydrate, soothe and plump the skin, whilst adding a buildable sun-kissed glow to your appearance.
I never sit in the sun and wear high SPF all over, especially on my face but I do find it easy to pick up a bit of colour on my body if I am out and about during sunny weather due to my skins ability to tan easily. However my face is always lighter so I like to use self tan pretty much all year round, especially in the summer so my face matches my body colour.
The first thing that impressed me about this Sleep Mask was the texture, instead of being a thick or heavy cream it’s more like a gel serum that feels instantly refreshing and hydrating, like a drink of water for the skin, which is quickly absorbed without any greasiness or shine. When I woke up the next morning I was pleasantly surprised, my skin looked perfected with a natural looking glow and I felt confident to leave the house for a no makeup day. I have been applying this every other night for the past week and day by day my skin has looked more radiant and I have built up a lovely colour.
If you are looking for a natural looking tan that means you don’t have to compromise the benefits from your usual skincare routine, then I would highly recommend giving this a try. James has recently introduced a “Go Darker” version of this product, along with some new releases including a Rose Water Tan Mist and the Tan Tour contouring duo, both of which I would very much like to try and review for you all as soon as I can.
Have you tried James Read Tan before?
