Hello Beauties, as the Bank Holiday weekend which is going to be a fun, yet busy one for me I wanted to take some time out this evening to give my skin a boost, so tonight is #FaceMaskFriday for me and I would luv it if you could all join in.
I have chosen to try the Timeless Truth Bio Cellulose Bee Venom & Royal Jelly Miracle Mask, this is my first time experiencing this range which is distributed in the UK by Angela Barbagelata, who first discovered these masks on a visit to the Far East and instantly became a fan of the high quality ingredients and ease of application. This mask is a Gold Award winner in the Pure Beauty Awards 2015.
Bee Venom has been around in beauty products for quite a while and has been termed “Natures Botox” which has intrigued me to see what effect it could have on my skin, although i’ve never used it until now. There is also Royal Jelly in this mask, which has been termed the “Elixir Of Youth” this is secreted by worker bees to feed the Queen Bee for it’s highly nourishing protein and amino acid composition. Both of these ingredients are combined with a high percentage of Hyaluronic Acid which I believe is one of the most powerful hydrating ingredients that you can use on your skin as it can hold up to 1,000 times it’s own weight in water.
Due to the active nature of these ingredients if you are allergic to bee stings then please don’t use this mask.
When I opened the sachet I noticed that the Bio-Cellulose fabric sheet mask was gorged with a serum fluid, which is just what my skin needs as it can be very thirsty and upon checking the packaging this mask is actually a 30ml size which more than generous, compared to most masks. Once I placed it onto my face it felt instantly cooling and refreshing, the texture is almost like applying a second skin which moulds and adapts to your face so you get an even coverage over the entire facial area.
I left the mask on for a good 20 minutes while I ran my bath and went to choose an outfit, I glanced a couple of times in the mirror which did look slightly scary so I would advise to do this as more of a night time treatment as you don’t want to answering the door to give someone a fright.
Once I removed the mask I massaged what was left of the hydrating serum into my skin, as you don’t need to remove this from the skin, it is designed to penetrate the skin cells. When I looked in the mirror my face looked “alive”, my fines lines looked less noticeable and the pores on my cheeks were much more refined and smooth. The texture of my skin looked and felt firmer too, I now understand why these ingredients are so beneficial to the skin. I also found when I applied my foundation and powder I needed only a small amount as my skin looked radiant and they went on a lot easier.
I am very impressed with this mask, it is my first time trying this brand and these ingredients but I can see myself bee-coming addicted.
If you would like to try this mask for yourself, they can be purchase from the Timeless Truth website at £7.90 for a single mask or a box of five retail at £38.50.
