Rituals was founded in 2000 by Raymond Cloosterman, he passionately believes that if you transform your daily routine and fill it with more meaningful moments, then happiness can found in the smallest of things. This philosophy led to a unique concept of combining home and body cosmetics, thus Rituals was born.
Each of the Rituals collections are based on Eastern traditions, with its own specifically selected ingredients, combined with the latest innovative technologies and distinctive benefits.
For this review I am taking you on a journey to Morocco, famous for their luxurious Hammam ritual steam room treatments, which are designed to cleanse, purfity and relax the mind, body and spirit. You can now experience all the benefits of this type of treatment in your own bathroom with the Rituals Hammam collection.
Over the past week I have been using the Hammam Sea Salt Hot Scrub which is infused with some of my favourite essentials oils, Eucalyptus and Ginger, which combine into a potent mind cleansing vapour that refreshes my entire body.
To begin this ritual, scoop a small amount of this delicious sea salt scrub, massage in circular motions onto damp skin all over the body, i usually do this in shower before I get washed. Once this scrub is applied to the body, you will begin to feel a warming effect on the skin which feels like you are being massaged all over the body. To rinse I just jump in the shower and let the water dissolve what’s left of the scrub, leaving my skin super soft and hydrated.
“I like to use this on a morning as the aroma, combined with the awakening, tingling feeling it gives to entire body, boosts my mood and sets me up for the day ahead.”
This hot scrub can be used on its own and I have seen a big improvement in the texture and tone of my skin. It is perfect for this time of year when you may be showing more skin than you did over the Winter and fantastic before using any self tan products. This can be purchase direct from the Rituals website and retails at £19.50 for a 450gr tub, which is huge and I can hardly tell that I have used any from the pot so far.
However if you would to experience the full three stage Hammam Ritual, there is also a Hammam Secret Olive Paste £8.50 & Hammam Body Mud £14, that you can use before and after this treatment, which hopefully I will be able to try to see how these compare used together.
Have you tried any of the Rituals range before?
Do you use a body scrub at the moment?
