“No-Needle” Wrinkle Fillers – Do They Really Work?

“No-Needle” Wrinkle Fillers – Do They Really Work?

Hello Beauties

I am very passionate about skincare and have seen some amazing advancements in delivery systems and ingredients over the past few years, so today I want to talk about one of the latest in-home treatments, that offers an alternative to using injectable fillers to plump out wrinkles on the skin.

I have recently discovered the Fillerina skincare line, created by Swiss brand Labo, who have been conducting research since 2007, into finding a cosmetic method of filling lines and wrinkles on the skin, by harnessing the power of hyaluronic acid in a very unique way.  If you are unfamiliar with Hyaluronic Acid, it is a magical ingredient that can hold up to a 1,000 times it’s own weight in water, like a sponge, to hydrate and plump the skin’s appearance.  I admit the thought of using acid on your face sounds scary but this is totally different than you might first think, it’s not damaging or dangerous to use and is naturally present in the human body, but like with most things, decreases with age.

So for the last few weeks I have been replacing my usual night cream with Fillerina’s Grade 2 Night Treatment to see if I could notice a difference in my skin by making this change.  This product comes in a very medicinal looking white tube, which gives me the impression that all of the time and money has been put into the product and not on it’s appearance.

I want you to know that I am quite skeptical, I don’t believe in hype and I don’t judge a product until I have tried it for myself.  But if i’m honest I thought that this product sounded too good to be true.

However after religiously using this as my nightly skin treatment I am genuinely impressed by the results.  From the first morning after using this the night before, I woke up to no sleep lines and my skin had a distinctly plumped up, smoother appearance, which felt dewy and moist to the touch.  These benefits have only increased over time and I have been asked if i’ve had something “done” to my face.  This is a wow! product for me which is not a statement that I use lightly, but this cream is certainly deserving of this accolade.

The reason this product is so effective is Fillerina have been able to decrease the molecule size of the hyaluronic acid into a nano sized molecule, which is able to penetrate the skin deeper, allowing it to be a more effective treatment.  They have also combined 6 different types of hyaluronic acids with different molecular weights, so some will sit on top of the skin, whilst others will penetrate deep into the cutaneous tissues.

There is also a cocktail of skin beneficial ingredients such as Peptides, Shea Butter, Salicylic Acid and Vitamin E, combined with Sweet Almond and Rosehip seed oils to aid in keeping the skin plump, hydrated and dewy.

If you would like to try this night treatment for yourself it comes in a choice of three grades:

  • Grade 1 – to correct early-onset, fine-to-moderate wrinkles and expression lines.
  • Grade 2 – to correct visible wrinkles and expression lines.
  • Grade 3 – to correct deep-set furrows and expression lines.

I chose Grade 2 myself as I could see visible wrinkles and expression lines, but not as deep set enough to need the higher grade.

If you are tempted to give this a try you can purchase this direct from Cult Beauty or QVCUK’s websites and retails at £69 for a 50ml tube which should last a good three to four months.

Have you tried any of the Fillerina range before?

Or have you used filler treatments in the past?
