The Secret To Relieving Muscle Tension & Joint Pain | Bodhi & Birch

The Secret To Relieving Muscle Tension & Joint Pain | Bodhi & Birch

Hello Beauties

Since I discovered Bodhi & Birch in late Summer last year I have been hooked on this British eco-luxe aromatherapy brand, which was founded by Elijah Choo in 2010.  Who has created a range that is free from Petrochemicals, Sulphates, Parabens, Silicone, Palm Oil and animal ingredients.  Which offers antidotes to modern life, bringing together the healing power of nature and traditional botanical remedies, merging together Eastern and Western skincare philosophies.

Designed to awaken your mind, indulge your senses and enlighten your skincare ritual with expertly blended products, harnessing the finest materials nature has to offer, all ingredients are ethically sourced from sustainable origins, infused with potent levels of precious essentials oils and active botanical to rejuvenate the skin.

As I have been suffering from severe neck and shoulder pain of late I was kindly sent a try me 30ml size of the Bodhi & Birch Ginger Brew Deep Tissue Massage & Body Oil to see if this could make any difference to my aches and pains.  The formula is made up of plant oils that are beneficial to the skin, with a base of Grapeseed, Coconut and Apricot oil to which other botanicals such as Ginger are added.  The texture feels light as a feather, which absorbs instantly when applied and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth.  Oils are fantastic to use on the body as they have a natural affinity with the skin and can quickly boost hydration.

The star ingredient in this blend is an ingredient called Plai, which is an oil that hadn’t come across before, but it has been added for it’s exceptional anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties, especially when it comes to joints and muscles, including arthritis and rheumatism.  Plai grows wild in Thailand and the roots look very much like ginger at first glance.  This blend also includes Galangal which warms the muscles and has fantastic anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal benefits.

After using this body oil only for a couple of days I could already feel the benefits, the tension in my neck and shoulders had begun to ease and I was gradually beginning to have a more continuous sleep, rather than waking up in pain every couple of hours or not being able to get comfortable to sleep in the first place.  I was that impressed that I decided to purchase the full 100ml size, as I wanted to continue using this magical oil to see greater long term benefits.

I can’t review this and not explain about the gorgeous aroma of this body oil, it’s a warm and exotic blend, with notes of Ginger, Patchouli and Turmeric, which have been expertly blended in a subtle way, to not make it over powering as this would likely make a headache worse.  Instead it helps to ease the mind and relax the body and senses, which cocooning the body in this wonderful oil.

This body oil has made me fall even more in love with Bodhi & Birch.  They also make a de-stress massage oil called Flora Paradiso which I must give a try if this is anything to go by.

If I was to make one suggestion that I would like to change about this product would be to possibly include a spray action delivery system or a dropper as to make application a little easier.  I am experienced at using body oil and always very careful not to pour out too much, but as I use this mainly at night I am sometimes a little more clumsy, so through lack of sleep I have been in danger of pouring out far too much.  Other than that I am exceptionally impressed by the muscle relieving benefits of this oil.

If you would like to try this Ginger Brew Deep Tissue Massage & Body Oil for yourself, you can purchase this direct from the Bodhi & Birch website in a 100ml size which retails at £35 and it is worth every penny.  However if you are unsure or you want to be able to use this in a travel size then there is also a 30ml size which retails at £12.

Not tried this product I have arthritis and continually suffer pain
I get a bit disappointed trying products that promise pain relief
