I hope you are having a lovely week so far. As Father’s Day is fast approaching I wanted to share with you some male grooming brands to either treat yourself too or give a nudge to your signifficant other as a suggestion.
Today I am talking about a company which I first reviewed last Summer, which is The Bluebeards Revenge. Who are a British company and have been providing male grooming & shaving products for over five years now, winning many awards for their unique range of grooming essentials. In 2014 The Bluebeards Revenge won the coveted FHM Grooming Award for Brand of the Year. Showing that they have continued to be an innovator in the industry with high quality effective products. There are no nasty ingredients such as parabens, which even the manliest of skins can be sensitive too. All of their testing is on the animals of the human male species and not the fluffy cute bunny kind.
- Pre Shave Oil 125ml £9.99 – First of all I want to point out the size, it’s huge! most others that i’ve seen are around 50ml at most. I am a big fan of using oils on the skin, especially for shaving as it allows me to achieve a closer and smoother finish. It’s also great if you have a sensitive skin as the oil helps to soften the beard, allowing for less dragging and pulling. This pre shave oil is a wonderful combination of fruit and plant oils, that are easy to massage into the skin and give a lovely aroma. I have also found this works great as an overnight hair oil and works brilliantly on dry elbows and knees too.
- Brushless Shaving Solution 100ml £9.99 – I have tried many shaving creams, gels and foams over the years and I have to say that this is a premium shaving solution. The unique hybrid formula gently foams up when applied to the skin, without masking the face so you can see where you are shaving and provides just the right amount of barrier between the blade and the skin, as some just give a ball of foam and before you know it you’ve missed an area or taken off more than you wanted too. The aroma is fresh and clean, it reminds me as if I have been transported to a quintessentially British cut throat barber’s. It certainly makes shaving a joy and it leaves my skin smooth, soft and hydrated. You only need to use one pump for the entire face, you can add a little water to reactivate the solution. It is also free from Parabens and SLS which can cause skin irritations.
- The Big Blue Bar Of Soap For Blokes 175g £4.99 – I was initially attracted to trying this bar of soap because it looks like a big chunk of blue jelly and thought it would be fun to use. I rarely use bars of soaps as they quite often dry my skin out, but this glycerin soap blend, gives a gentle foam when mixed with water and I have used it all over my body. It’s great even on more intimate areas and gives you a chance to give yourself a check as I don’t think men do this enough to make sure everything is as it should be down there.
Overall if you are looking for a range of products that will cleanse your skin and give an effective, smooth and hydrating shave then give Bluebeards Revenge a try as not only are they kind to the skin and provide superb results, they also offer fantastic value for money and will be a sustainable choice, that you can continue to buy in the future. I personally like the way these products look in my bathroom, they give a modern yet contemporary feeling and I have had lots of remarks from visitors as to where to purchase them from.
If you would like to try these for yourself or perhaps as a gift for a man in your life, all of these can be purchased from The Bluebeards Revenge website and this entire trio would cost less than £25.
