1st Blog Anniversary – Celebration Cake by Baker Days

Hello Beauties

I hope you are having a lovely week so far?  I am having a wonderful week, celebrating my 1st Blog Anniversary with you all, thank you for the lovely comments, I do really appreciate each and every one.  I hope you have been entering the competition’s as these are my way of saying thank you for all your support.

Now a celebration of any kind wouldn’t be complete without a cake, so for this special event I have chosen Baker Days, to create my personalised celebration cake.  The whole process from beginning to end has been an absolute pleasure, they make it so easy to arrange and customise the cake how I wanted it to be decorated.

To create your cake you just need to log onto the Baker Days website and select the type of cake you would like.  I chose the design your own cake option, with the stars motif around the edges.  I then chose the type of cake I wanted which was the 5 Inch Letterbox Cake as after i am trying to be good with my eating and if I chose a bigger one I just knew I would eat it all.  There is then an option of what you would like the cake to made out of, Vanilla Sponge, Chocolate Chip, Gluten Free, Dairy Free or Fruit Cake.  It was a difficult choice but I opted for the fruit cake, as in my family we always have fruit cake for the really special occasions, so means something personal to me.  Then all you have to do is upload the image you would like on the cake and type any writing you would like to be included.

The final step is to register your details, choose where and when you would like the cake to be delivered and that’s it done.  I couldn’t believe it was that simple to arrange.  Delivery is available 6 days a week and if you order before 2pm, you can have the cake delivered the very next day.  If you choose the same option of the letterbox cake, it has been designed that it can be posted through a letterbox so if you or the recipient were out then it would be there when you got home.

The cake comes in a beautifully presented metal tin, with perforated holes to keep the cake secure and fresh for opening.  Once I removed the metal lid I was over the moon at how well my design had turned out and couldn’t wait to have a slice with my friends and family.  The fruit cake tasted so gorgeous, it was moist and just melted in the mouth.  The icing complimented the cake, without being overly sugary and sickly as I have found with other cakes in the past.

Overall I would definitely choose Baker Days again for my next celebratory occasion, as they have been an absolute pleasure to work with and I hope you will think of them for your special occasion.  I am also giving you the chance to win your own personalised cake, if you head over to my Facebook Instagram and Twitter to find out more.
