#FaceMaskFriday with Caudalie

Hello Beauties

The weekend is finally here, this week has gone so fast for me with all of the #1stBlogAnniversary celebrations and launching lots of competitions for you all as a thank you.  Today I am taking some time out to give my skin a pamper as I am off out for a nice meal and some drinks to celebrate the blog anniversary.  One of the best ways to give your skin an instant makeover is by using a mask, as these are often the workhorse in any facial treatment to give maximum noticeable results.

Today I have chosen the Instant Detox Mask by Caudalie, who were founded in 1993 in Bordeaux (France) by Mathilde Thomas and her husband Bertrand.  Two years later with the help of Professor Joseph Vercauteren, who is one of the world’s most leading specialists in Polyphenols, registered a patent for extracting and stabilizing grape-seed polyphenols, the Caudalie brand was created.

I chose the Instant Detox Mask as in clinical studies 100% of the users said this mask had a detoxifying effect.  As I have been quite indulgent with what I have been eating and drink this week and as I have a celebratory night out planned tonight, I thought this was the perfect time to purify and detox my skin.

This mask comes in a large 75ml tube with a wooden screw cap that adds a touch of natural indulgence to this product whilst keeping the essential oils of lavender, bergamot and sandalwood fresh.  The base of this mask comes from natural Pink Clay which draws away impurites and toxins from the skin.  I like the colour of this clay as when it is applied to the skin it actually makes my appearance look better, which isn’t true for most masks, where you wouldn’t chance answering the door.  The Caudalie signature grape extract has also been combined in this formula for it’s antioxidant rich benefits.  This mask is also free from parabens, mineral oils, SLS or animal ingredients.

I recommend you apply this mask after cleansing and exfoliating the skin for maximum benefits.  Then take the size of a fifty pence piece and apply to the face, avoiding the eye area and leave for 15-20 minutes, then remove with warm water.

Once I removed this mask, my skin’s appearance looked brighter and fresher, with a noticeable visible difference in the texture of my skin and refinement of my pores.  It’s as though someone had airbrushed away all of the imperfections and left my skin looking at its most healthy and radiant.  I am truly impressed by this treatment.

As you only need a small amount I can see this mask lasting me a good six months of weekly usage and as it retails for £22 from the Caudalie website, to me this is incredible value for money.  Also an automatic 20% discount will be taken off all purchases till the 31st May for the Bank Holiday.

Overall if you are looking for a treatment which will revive, detox, clarify and brighten your skin then I would reach for this mask, as the improvements after one application are very noticeable for all the right reasons.

Have you tried any of the Caudalie range before?

Do you use a mask treatment at the moment?

  1. I have not used any Caudalie mask, but if your cleansing gel, its tonic Iris, and their serum Vinoperfect which is very good as it moisturizes and helps fade blemishes.
