#SpaSunday | NIOD

Hello Beauties

Well the last couple of weeks seem to have just flown by, but it’s now a lovely sunny Sunday, I will be watching the Men’s French Open Final and it’s time to give my skin a good pampering.  This week I have chosen the NIOD skincare range, I will be using their Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester, Flavanone Mud and Hydration Vaccine.  It is important at least once a week to give your skin a thorough treatment, as these product can make a big difference to the skin and these are the “workhorse” products in any facial.

NIOD is a very modern brand who won the “QVC Find a New Beauty Brand 2015” who have only just celebrated their one year anniversary.  Whilst this a new comparatively new beauty brand, everything about NIOD is different to any other range you might have used in the past.  They have even built their own factory using cutting edge technologies, so they can quickly create and deliver the newest formulas with the latest beauty “buzz word” ingredients.

  • Step 1Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester – This cleanser takes a biotechnologically advanced approach to skin purification.  Instead of using traditional cleansing plant oils, detergents or water, the LVCE uses isolated sugar and avocado esters to remove every trace of makeup and dirt, with or without water.  I have to admit I was a little sceptical about this cleanser and whether it would be effective at throughly cleansing the skin, when the solution looks just like water.  You can use this in two ways, either pour some of the LVCE into the palm of your hand and massage over your face then rinse with water or apply to cotton wool pads and wipe over the skin.  I have tried both techniques and I prefer the hands on approach of massaging the skin but when I am feeling tired using the cotton pads makes cleansing so quick and simple.  The texture is neither a water or an oil, it feels like a hybrid between them both.  I wasn’t prepared for how effective this cleanser would be, I have tried it with lots of different make up brands and it has removed every one of them with ease and has done so without stripping or drying out my skin.  I have also noticed that my skin texture is a lot more refined, pores look smaller and my skin feels and looks healthier.  I am very impressed by the LVCE and it will remain a staple in my cleansing wardrobe.
  • Step 2 – Flavanone Mud – This isn’t like your traditional mask products, instead this is a three-phase rinse-off dermal decongestion system.  The first phase is like most purifying mask products where it breaks down the surface impurites on the skin, with a blend of black Amazonian Clay, white clay and copper rich Brazilian clay.  Next you have the protective phase which is designed to shield against future external build up on the skin, by using sea polysaccharides from microorganisms found in the Polynesian coral reef, which fight the ongoing build up of urban pollution and bisabolol which fights inflammation and allows the skin to cope with changes in climate conditions.  There is also resveratrol which is a potent inhibitor dopa oxidase such as hyper pigmentation.  The final phase triggers a non-inflammatory response to support dermal detoxification and immune functions, through the use of a highly purified Flavanone, derived from the inner white parts of the citrus peel.  You do apply it in the same way as other masks you would of used, by applying a thin layer all over the skin, avoiding the eye area, leave for 10-15 minutes then rinse with warm water.  After one treatment the difference in the appearance, firmness, texture and feel of my skin is incredible.  I now understand why there has been such a buzz about this product.  You can use this as a weekly treatment or NIOD reccomend you can apply once a day for 5 days then use once a week as a maintenance.  I have tried the five nightly treatment and I am now on the maintenance phase and I have to say my skin has never looked more clear and purified before.
  • Step 3Multi – Molecular Hyaluronic Complex – This isn’t shown in the photo but I always use this serum before applying any other moisturising products.  More information can be found in my review HERE.
  • Step 4Hydration Vaccine – I know i’ve said this before with the other products in this routine but this isn’t like a traditional moisturiser.  Instead it is a hydration seal for the face that offers protection against degradation of natural moisturising factors, these factors are usually made up of amino acids and minerals which is the skin’s natural barrier against water loss.  The HV supports the skin’s own barriers to water loss, allowing an increase in natural water content in the skin which is one of the most important factors when it comes to ageing, which I have said before, Hydration, Hydration, Hydration.  This is a unique product that is applied after a facial serum and before any further moisturisers or SPF products.  I have used this everyday for the past week and have noticed a difference in the feel and particularly the plumpness of my skin, fine lines look better and deeper set lines are looking less noticeable.  I like that this can be fitted into any routine to promote skin hydration.

If you are looking for a totally new approach to skin health and vitality then NIOD is the brand for you, they are using some of the most technologically advanced ingredients and techniques, that respect the skin and deliver fantastic results.  You have to try it for yourself to believe the difference.

You can purchase each of these products direct from the NIOD website, they retail at £30 for the LVCE 240ml , £29.00 for the FM 50ml and £35 for the HV 50ml.  You only need to use a small amount of each of these products, which offers fantastic value for money.

You can also find these products available from QVCUK where there are specially priced collections available which might make it easier to try a few of the NIOD range at a discounted price.

I have not tried anything Niod. Right now I’m using Hylamide, but do not rule NIOD try in the future, because I keep reading good reviews about their products.

This is the first I’ve heard of NIOD but I’m intrigued. I have an underactive thyroid so have a real fight keeping my dry skin hydrated, the Hydration Vaccine sounds like it could be a great help! The Cleansing Ester interests me too, I use cleansing balms at the moment but when I’m tired I sometimes wish I had the easy option of cotton pads.
Thanks for such an informative review, I’m keen to try this range now
