It’s the start of a new week and I have woken up to the sun shining, this is two days in a row so don’t want to jinx anything but I think Summer may be finally here. I start of each week with the best intentions of eating healthier and getting more exercise, but sometimes life just gets in the way and it can be difficult to find time.
This week I have decided to commit to increasing my intake of protein and fibre by having a bowl of Sown & Grown Mixed Berry & Nut Multigrain Muesli every morning. By having it in the morning I know that I have started my day off the way I want to and don’t need to worry about forgetting later in the day.
I decided to give the Sown & Grown range a try as they are made from 100% British grains, high in fibre, no added salt and come in a resealable tube to lock in the freshness. I like that it comes in the tube rather than a bag, as it can be difficult to stop the muesli going stale or remembering which way up i’ve sealed the packet and end up with some all over the floor, the tube can also be used to store a multitude of items in after you have finished your Muesli.
There are six different flavors of granola and muesli in this range, I chose the Mixed Berry & Nut Muesli as I like the combination of fruit and nuts and if i’m not having it in my chocolate then having it in my breakfast is an essential. The fruity taste of the blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, combined with the nutty taste of almonds, brazil nuts and chopped hazelnuts really come through with each mouthful. Making this muesli tasty and enjoyable to eat. I have even added some in with my protein powder and it has made my shakes tastier and more palatable.
If you would like to try this for yourself it is available in Sainsbury’s stores and retails at £3.95 for a massive 450g tube.
