I hope that you are having a lovely weekend so far, my weekend has consisted of watching the tennis at Wimbledon, inbetween the constant rain delays. I don’t remember the last time the weather has been so bad, it must be terrible for the players to get used to. With all of the sport around at the moment, it has inspired me to look at some sports nutrition brands.
I have recently experienced the range of Protein Coconut Water from For Goodness Shakes, I wanted to give these a try as I now feel ready to start working out again but with being so ill last week my body feels depleted of its essential building blocks. So I thought these would be a handy way to boost my hydration and protein levels all at once.
For Goodness Shakes have developed two flavours of Protein Coconut Water, there is Mango & Orange or Tropical. They both come in a 330ml plastic bottle which is a perfect size to provide good nutrition on the go and they easily fit into my manbag.
Overall I think these Protein Coconut Waters are the complete package, they are a refreshing blend of Coconut & Spring water, boosted with hydrating electrolytes, low in calories, fat free and contain 10g of protein. The two flavours are delicious and don’t leave me with that powdery aftertaste, it’s almost hard to believe they are doing my body good. I would love to have a fridge full of them, as I would happily drink them everyday.
If you would like to try these for yourself they can be found in your local supermarkets and high street stores such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Boots. Where they retail for a couple of pounds a bottle, which is well worth the money in my opinion as I have paid more for alternatives and never been able to drink them. Even if you’re not calorie counting or working out, I would still suggest trying these as a healthier alternative to sugar filled juices and fizzy drinks, there is even a coconut free option if you prefer.
