I hope you are having a lovely week so far, the weekend is finally here so let’s hope the #HeatWave continues now I have some time to relax and enjoy it. Are you going to a festival or taking part in a sporting event? I’d really like to know how you are planning to make the most of your weekend.
As some of you may know, I am a big fan of AA Skincare’s products, they are a British company that are committed to providing naturally effective products, that don’t break the bank and I have reviewed quite a few products from their range, if you missed them or would like a second read, they can be found by clicking HERE.
With this hot weather it’s difficult not to perspire, glow or sweat, however you want to say it, it’s not a nice feeling and can cause the skin to become blocked with excess oil, which results in congestion and spotty skin. So it’s important to keep the skin clean, without over drying or stripping by excessive cleansing.
But I believe I have found a great solution to this “sweaty” problem from AA Skincare, which has shown me that not all facial wipes are made equal. As I don’t usually like to use facial wipes because based on past experience a lot have overly stripped my skin leaving it feeling dry and tight.
I have recently been using two variations of AA Skincare cleansing wipes, which are paraben, alcohol & MIT free, ph balanced and are made from 100% biodegradable viscose. Both of which contain Olus Oil to moisturise the skin whilst cleansing.
- Green Tea & Aloe Vera – These wipes are great at removing light makeup like a cc or bb cream to refresh the skin and have a delicate herbal aroma of Green Tea which is rich in antioxidants to help repair and protect the skin. The addition of Aloe Vera makes this wipe feel cooling on the skin and has natural anti-microbial properties.
- Tea Tree & Aloe Vera – I prefer to use these wipes when I have no makeup on and need to refresh my skin when it’s very warm as the addition of Tea Tree Oil with it’s natural antibacterial and antifungal properties are great to keep my skin antiseptically clean. These also contain Aloe Vera which gives a cooling feeling when wiped over the skin.
Overall I think both of these wipes are great to carry with you to instantly refresh and clean my skin, I wouldn’t use them as an alternative to cleansing but they do come in handy when it’s hot and you are out and about enjoying the Summer. I personally prefer the Tea Tree & Aloe Vera option, but that’s my personal preference as I enjoy the aroma of Tea Tree. These would also be perfect if you have young children to clean their hands and face after eating to keep wasps and bugs away from them as they don’t like the smell of tea tree oil.
If you would like to try these for yourself they are available from the AA Skincare website priced at £3.30 and contain 25 wipes per pack.
At the moment the Tea Tree & Aloe Vera wipes are on a special promotion at only £2.20 per pack.
Have you tried any of the AA Skincare range before?
