I hope you are all having a lovely end to the week, with the weekend just around the corner. I am very much looking forward to the #OpeningCeremony of the #RioOlympics tonight, I just know it’s going to be amazing. The athletes will be looking in amazing condition and i’m sure they will have been looking after their skin in the lead up to this event.
For the past couple of weeks I have been using the brand new eco friendly Exfoliating Body Scrub from Australian Bodycare, which is a perfect addition to their already fantastic range. Removing the dead skin cells on the body is just as important as exfoliating the skin on your face, as it will allow body creams, tan accelerators and self tanning products to penetrate deeper into the skin for maximum hydration and a long lasting, even tan.
I am a big fan of Australian Bodycare, I have used their tea tree skin wash for the last 20 years and is an everyday essential for me as it thoroughly cleanses my body, removing all dirt, grime and odours. Since 1992 Australian Bodycare have been creating professional skincare solutions, harnessing the potent active ingredient of Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil) which is the only variant of this aboriginal plant which has antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral properties.
This plant is grown in New South Wales and Australian Bodycare use the first extraction of this plant which is the most effective and beneficial for the skin.
I must admit I don’t use a body scrub as often as I should, mainly due to being time poor as most exfoliators you need to apply before a bath or shower. Whereas this Tea Tree Oil body scrub is multifunctional as it gently removes the layers of dead skin with non abrasive Cellulose Acetate exfoliating beads, whilst foaming to throughly cleanse the skin. It has the same refreshing herbal aroma as the other products in the range and leaves me skin feeling refreshed and smooth, without any dryness or irritation.
Combining both cleansing and exfoliating makes it a lot easier for me to make sure that I use a body exfoliator on a regular basis, as I have been using this a couple of times a week and has improved the quality and texture of my skin and has maximised the benefits of all of my hydrating body products. It’s also perfect to use prior to any hair removal as this will effectively dislodge any dead skin around the hair follicle and create an antibacterial environment to reduce the risk of irritation or ingrown hairs.
If you would like an easy to use body exfoliating solution and are already a fan of the tea tree skin wash aroma, then this will be a great addition to your routine. This can be purchased direct from the Australian Bodycare website in a 150ml tube which retails at £13.50. This can also be purchased as part of a duo with the body lotion on QVCUK for £23.50.
