Hello Handsome | Secret Scent Box

Hello Beauties

I want to introduce you to a new monthly subscription box by Secret Scent Box, which allows you to try the latest designer and well know brand name fragrances in the comfort of your own home, with letterbox friendly packaging.  It cost £15 per month including postage and packing, there are no contracts, so the subscription can be cancelled at anytime should you wish too.

Each box comes with 3 sample sized fragrances (3ml each) which are intended to be enough for 30 days of daily use, so you should run out just before your next box is delivered.  The only choice you need to make is would you like male or female fragrances.  It’s great to see that men have been included in this as so often I see subscription boxes which are more female orientated.

The fragrances I received in this first box are:

  • Tom Ford (Noir) – I have personally wanted to try a Tom Ford fragrance for a while now as the fragrances sound and look so exquisite.  From the first spritz this fragrance takes me on a trip to the orient, with top notes of Bergamot, Caraway, Pink Pepper and Violet Flower, which give a refined fl-oriental aroma, whilst middle notes of Nutmeg, Black Pepper, Geranium and Clary Sage add a mysterious depth and finishes with a burst of sensuality with Amber, Apoponax, Pachouli, Civet and Vanilla.  I can imagine this would be perfect for a meticulous man who likes to dress smart for an evening of romance.  It’s definitely one I will purchase in the full size.
  • Calvin Klein (CK One Summer 2016) – This fragrance captures the essence of Summer for me with fruity top notes of Lime Mojito, Guava and Green Pineapple, which smell good enough to make a perfect cocktail.  Then as the middle and base notes of Tiare Tahiti, Coconut Milk and Cedarwood kick in, I am transported to a hot climate, relaxing on my own Desert Island with close friends having a beach party.  This fragrance is full of life and vitality that will have you partying all Summer long.
  • Paco Rabanne (1 Million) – This fragrance is the most surprising out of the three, it has it’s own distinctive aroma that makes me feel fresh and uplifted.  With top notes of Grapefruit, Mint and Blood Mandarin, which blends into the most elegant absolute of Rose that is combined with cinnamon and finishes with base notes of leather and amber.  Christophe Raynaud has created another masterpiece with this fragrance.

Each of these fragrances are new to me, I have tried the original CK One quite a long time ago as it was my fragrance of choice along with CK Be when I was a teenager, so I was excited to experience the updated version along with the fragrances from Tom Ford & Paco Rabanne.

I am a big fan of this fragrance concept as it’s not often I get the chance to go to a department store to sample a new fragrance and then you only get to wear it for that day, so it doesn’t give me the chance to see how I really feel about the fragrance, where as these samples are large enough to try out for different occasions and clothing choices.
