Natural Man Made Essentials | Tropic Skincare

As I mentioned in a recent blog post, there has been signifficant growth in the male grooming industry, with more men now then ever looking after their skin.  This has created a multi-billion worldwide industry, with companies introducing new products to their range to tempt guys to their brand.  In response to this growing market some brands have thrown together products with little time thought about the ingredients or have been criticised for re-branding existing products into male friendly packaging.

Just like with all aspects of the beauty industry, not all male products are created equally.  I want to share with you a couple of products from a brand which has taken the time to research the needs of a mans skin, who’s ingredients are natural and don’t contain any parabens, SLS, mineral oils or any other potentially skin harming ingredients, who are also certified by The Vegan Society, Cruelty Free International and PETA and all of their products are hand made in Britain.

I have quite a complicated beauty routine, which matches the time and effort I am willing to put into looking after my skin.  I know that not all men are like me when it comes to this, but most men need to shave and moisturise on a daily basis.  These are the two areas I am concentrating on with two products from the Tropic skincare brand, that I’ve been using recently.

  • Look Sharp 100ml – This shave cream is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins, as it has an organic Aloe Vera juice base, combined with Tazman Pepper & Black Oat to soothe the skin and reduce any redness caused by shaving.  This 100% naturally derived formula has a gorgeous earthy aroma that is a pleasure to use and allows my razor to glide across the skin, removing the hair quickly and effectively.  However if you don’t shave or like to go a few days between shaves, massage a small amount into your beard to allow the natural plant oils to condition and soften the hair.  I can see this being pinched by the ladies for any hair raising moments on their legs too.
  • Energy Boost 50ml – This lightweight formula is perfect to use after shaving as it’s instantly absorbed into the skin and feels cooling on the skin.  The benefits don’t end there, as this face cream has been cleverly formulated with Vitamin C and Green Coffee to help brighten and even the skin tone, plus a shot of antioxidant rich catus extract which helps to protect the skin from daily pollution.  I like that this moisturiser has multi-benefits as it offers even the laziest of guys, potent skincare ingredients to make a difference to their skin with little effort or fuss.

These wonderful naturally effective products are such a pleasure to use on my skin, they have made shaving a pleasurable activity and my skin looks brighter and refreshed since using the moisturiser.  It’s no wonder that Lord Alan Sugar wanted to work with Susan Ma, the founder of Tropic to share her natural beauty remedies.

I think this duo would make a perfect gift for the man in you life or as a treat for yourself, as these products offer many months of shaving and moisturising at such a cost effective price as this ManMade Collection retails at £32.

Have you tried any of the Tropic Skincare products before?
