I’ve said it before and I will say it again, hydration is the most important factor to have healthy looking and feeling skin, no matter your skin type. At this time of year when the temperatures rise, there is an increased water loss from the skin, so it’s even more important to make sure you’re locking in the moisture with products that can make a real difference.
I’ve been a fan of Elemis for over twenty years, so when I found out that they’d created a clinically proven moisture boosting serum I knew this would one I had to try. The Hydra-Boost serum has a unique formula and contains ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Dhatelo Oil, Quinic Acid to quench the skin with moisture, plus antioxidant benefits from organic Myrtle extracts, which for a 30ml size serum that retails at £45 to me is incredible value, considering the quality of ingredients in this formulation.
Personally any product that contains Hyaluronic Acid, which can hold up to 1,000 times it’s own weight in water is one that I am most definitely going to try. The texture of this serum is incredibly light weight, which allows the skin to drink all of these potent ingredients deep into the epidermis. I have a combination skin type and found that this serum felt rich enough to use on it’s own, to give my skin long lasting hydration all day long, however it works beautifully in harmony with any of the Elemis day or night cream ranges for that extra layer of moisture, which is my preference at night under the Pro Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream.
This is a very unisex looking product as the packaging is classically elegant with the frosted glass bottle and shiny white metal lid, which would look at home in any gents bathroom. The only warning I want to give you apart from this product being very addictive to use, is when pumping it out I would do so into the palm of your hand rather on the back of your hand as the pump action seems to be quite powerful.
Elemis will be celebrating their 22nd Anniversary on QVCUK from the 16th June to the 19th June 2017, I have watched these shows for the entire time and remember being a kid using my lime blossom cleanser and lavender toner for the first time, I still remember the aroma from all those many years ago. Also all of the products on air during the Elemis Anniversary shows will be available in EZ payments, which gives you the chance to try multiple products.
Have you tried any of the Elemis range before?
